Zero Tolerance
Bandhan Matrimony maintains an absolute zero-tolerance policy towards any content, behaviour, or activity that constitutes or facilitates Child Sexual Abuse and Exploitation. Violations are immediately actioned and reported to law enforcement and national cybercrime authorities.
Our Core Commitments
Strict Age Verification
All users must be 18 years or older to register. We verify age through government-issued documents and AI-assisted ID checks during onboarding and periodically thereafter.
Prohibited Content
Any content that sexually exploits, depicts, grooms, or endangers minors is strictly prohibited. Such content is immediately removed and the account permanently banned.
Mandatory Reporting
We are legally obligated and ethically committed to reporting all detected or reported CSAE material to NCMEC and relevant Indian authorities without delay.
AI-Powered Monitoring
Our platform employs automated AI tools to scan profile content, images, and communication patterns in real-time, triggering immediate review by our Trust & Safety team.
Easy Reporting Tools
Every profile, message, and piece of content includes a one-tap "Report" option. Reports are reviewed within 24 hours by trained safety specialists.
Staff Training
Our Trust & Safety team undergoes regular training on identifying, handling, and escalating CSAE-related content in compliance with national and international child protection standards.
1. Scope & Applicability
This CSAE Policy applies to all users, content creators, and any individual interacting with the Bandhan Matrimony mobile application and website. It covers all content types including profile photographs, bios, chat messages, video calls, and any media shared through our platform.
Bandhan Matrimony is exclusively designed for adults seeking matrimonial alliances. Our platform is not intended for, and is not accessible to, individuals under the age of 18. Any attempt to circumvent this restriction is a direct violation of our Terms of Service and applicable law.
2. Prohibited Activities
The following activities are strictly prohibited and will result in immediate account termination and reporting to appropriate authorities:
- cancelUploading, sharing, or distributing any material that sexually depicts or exploits a minor.
- cancelEngaging in grooming behaviour — building trust with a minor to facilitate sexual abuse or exploitation.
- cancelSoliciting sexual content or engaging in sexual conversations with any person who is a minor.
- cancelCreating or using a false identity to interact with minors on this platform.
- cancelFacilitating, arranging, or promoting child marriage or any union involving a person under legal age.
- cancelSharing links, references, or instructions that lead to CSAE content on external platforms.
3. Detection & Enforcement
Bandhan Matrimony uses a multi-layered approach to detect and prevent CSAE on our platform:

All images uploaded to Bandhan are scanned against known CSAM databases using PhotoDNA hash-matching technology. Any match results in immediate removal and mandatory reporting.
psychologyBehavioural AI Analysis
Our AI continuously monitors communication patterns for grooming-related language, age discordance signals, and abnormal interaction patterns, triggering human review when thresholds are exceeded.
supervised_user_circleHuman Review Team
Our trained Trust & Safety specialists review all flagged content and user reports, following a strict protocol for escalation to law enforcement when CSAE material is confirmed.
4. Reporting CSAE Content
If you encounter content or behaviour that constitutes child sexual abuse or exploitation, please report it immediately:
In-App Reporting
Tap the three-dot menu on any profile or message and select "Report". Our team responds within 24 hours.
Email Safety Team
Send a detailed report with screenshots to safety@bandhan.net.in.
National Cybercrime Portal
Report to India's National Cybercrime Reporting Portal at cybercrime.gov.in or call 1930.
NCMEC CyberTipline
For international reporting, contact NCMEC at missingkids.org.
5. Consequences of Violation
Any user found to be in violation of this CSAE Policy will face the following consequences, applied immediately and without prior notice:
Immediate Account Termination
The account will be permanently banned with no possibility of reinstatement. All associated data is preserved for law enforcement purposes.
Law Enforcement Reporting
We will report the incident, along with all relevant user data and evidence, to local police, the Cyber Crime Cell, and national/international child protection bodies.
Device & IP Blacklisting
Device fingerprints and IP addresses associated with the violation will be blacklisted to prevent re-registration on our platform.
6. Legal Framework & Compliance
Bandhan Matrimony operates in full compliance with the following laws governing child safety:

7. Policy Review & Updates
This CSAE Policy is reviewed at minimum every six months by our legal and Trust & Safety teams. Any significant updates will be communicated to all active users via in-app notification and email. Continued use of the platform after policy updates constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
